RACE
The British Grand Prix brought the long-awaited return of a two-car finish for the Super Aguri F1 team, as Takuma Sato and Franck Montagny drove faultless races to finish in 17th and 18th positions respectively.
Takuma Sato:"It is great that we have achieved a two-car finish again. We had a difficult start to the weekend but, in the end, we finished the race, which is a good result for the team. Obviously, we were quite off the pace today, and it was a tough race for us, but the next two rounds of the championship have different track characteristics to Silverstone, so we will concentrate now on these circuits and look forward to the flyaways."

QUALIFYING
Saturday free practice at Silverstone ended prematurely for Takuma Sato after an off-track excursion, leaving the Japanese driver to use the third Super Aguri car in qualifying as the damage to his race car could not be repaired in time.
"It was a very hard day. During the practice session, I lost it at the high-speed Beckett's corner and suffered some quite serious damage to the car. It is disappointing because we had to change to the T-car, taking a 'change of engine' penalty too. We had very little time to prepare the T-car for qualifying, but the boys did a great job to get it ready in time. The session was difficult because we had not completed the set-up programme in the morning and had to apply the set-up to a different chassis, so the car had nervous handling. Considering what happened today, I am reasonably happy with our final result, but it will be a tough race for us tomorrow."

PRACTICE
Takuma Sato and the Super Aguri F1 team had an extra pair of hands to help spread the load in Friday free practice at the British Grand Prix, as Sakon Yamamoto made his debut and enabled the rookie squad to run three cars at a grand prix for the first time. Despite that, however, the two sessions brought their own specific problems for the drivers, hindering the team’s programme.
Takuma Sato:"We had a sensor issue during the morning session, so we only completed a few laps and one timed lap. We had a smoother run in the beginning of the afternoon, but we had another chassis problem on the car. Although we completed our tyre test programme, there maybe a good chance that our information may be misleading, so I will have to rely on the other two drivers' data. We shall now work with the information that we have as a team for tomorrow's practice session."
