RACE
The Super Aguri team had another difficult day in Hungary as the weather made for treacherous racing conditions, but Takuma Sato drove a solid race to bring his SA06 home in 14th position despite battling problems throughout the race.
Takuma Sato:"I am happy that we finished a very hard race, not only because of the weather conditions today, but also because of the gearbox problem I had. During the first stage, we were looking good and I was actually pulling away from the Midlands, which was very encouraging, but, after the pit-stop, I had a clutch problem and almost lost all drive - at one stage I thought that I would not be able to finish the race. Fortunately, I was able to solve the problem by changing the setting from the cockpit, but I later had a gearbox problem and lost a gear, which meant that it became incredibly tough to drive the car towards the end. However, I am pleased that we were able to bring the car home and finish the race as it is very important for the team to have this data before the summer break."

QUALIFYING
Takuma Sato set a solid qualifying lap time to line up alongside the Williams of Nico Rosberg and both Scuderia Toro Rosso cars at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
"We had a chassis problem during this morning's practice session and lost some running time in addition to the red flag situation on the track. It was then difficult to make further progress during the session but, towards the end, we made our tyre choice for tomorrow. For qualifying, I caught some traffic during my first run and it was not a particularly good lap. I also had to stop at the weighbridge, which lost us quite a bit of time and, because of this, we had to make a pit-stop instead of returning in to the garage. Unfortunately, this made the tyres cool down too much and I struggled with the warm-up. But, in the end, we should be happy with what we achieved in terms of lap times today."

PRACTICE
The Super Aguri F1 team made an encouraging start to the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, despite again running without the benefit of a third SA06 running in free rpactice. Both Takuma Sato and Sakon Yamamoto undertook a full testing programme, ensuring a busy schedule for both crews.
Takuma Sato:"It was a good day for us. During the first session, we studied the aero mapping, which we are obviously unfamiliar with for the particular high downforce spec package we have brought to Hungary. Unfortunately, this morning, the track temperature was very low, so we were limited in the amount we could achieve. However, the car ran smoothly and we had no problems. The second session was encouraging and we completed the medium to long runs we needed because we don't have a third driver to evaluate the tyres here. The car performed well, so we will see what develops for tomorrow."
